| The major tourist sites are probably for most people the Louvre Museum (think of the Mona Lisa), the Musée D'Orsay (a little smaller but particularly ideal for the likes of Monet), Cathedral Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower and the Chateau de Versailles - but for this last one you need to get the train out of town.
Paris is a "Tourist City" - you will inevitably have to queue to buy tickets and enter these popular spots but if you book and pay in advance you usually don't have to queue!!! Links are on the right hand side of this page - you can go to the relevant website and decide/book for yourselves depending on your interests or get a "Museum Pass" for 2, 4 or 6 days validity on your arrival (click on the link on the right) (thanks for the suggestion Jung!)
We also post below a few other links or ideas (sometimes lesser known) that may tempt you - most of which are much less heavily visited (with the notable exception of Disneyworld!). But there are lots of others - it's impossible to put anything more than a tiny selection here. Get books, watch films and scan the internet, get maps - then decide over a glorious coffee or whatever in a bar nearby!
